    On electric motors - first replace worn or arcing brushes.  Resurface comutator if arcing continues.  Clean by immersion, wiping, brushing, or spraying.  Then blow-dry with air or wipe with clean cloth.  Re-oil and re-grease the equipment.  For plastics - test on small area before using.
