On electric motors – First replace worn or arcing brushes. Resurface commutator if arcing continues. Clean by immersion, wiping, brushing or spraying. Then blow dry with air or wipe with a clean cloth. Re-oil and re-grease the equipment. For plastics – test on small area before using.
