DAVIES "POOL-KHLOR" usage is dependent on many pool variables (including temperature, bather load, sun, amount of rain fall, amounts of foreign matter such as tree leaves, etc. that enter pool water), and is best determined by consulting a reliable chlorine test kit and maintaining 1.0 to 1.5 ppm free available chlorine.  Daily treatment with DAVIES "POOL-KHLOR" is 16 fluid ounces per 10,000 gallons of pool water; this amount may vary slightly between pools.

To maintain a clean and sparkling pool, weekly shock treatments of 1/2 gallon DAVIES "POOL-KHLOR" per 10,000 gallons of water are suggested.  Also, when algae growth develops, or when the pool water becomes cloudy, the pool should be 'shocked' with DAVIES "POOL-KHLOR".  DAVIES "POOL-KHLOR" should be stored in a cool place, away from sunlight.  DAVIES "POOL-KHLOR" will have a tendency to increase pH of pool slightly.  For optimum results, "PH-MINUS" should be added on a regular schedule to maintain pH in the 7.2 to 7.6 range.  It is important that pH does not exceed 7.6 pH, which will reduce chlorine effectiveness.
