Directions For emergency spotting: use “Kot-O-Fom” 2 parts water to 1 part “Kot-O-Fom” . Prevent spots from causing permanent carpet discoloration by removing spot with “Kot-O-Fom” at once before the spot dries. Every home or office should have a small bottle of “Kot-O-Fom” on hand for emergency spotting. Upholstery Shampooing 4 parts water and 1 part “Kot-O-Fom”. Use a very soft bristle brush and wipe with absorbent Turkish towel. “Kot-O-Fom” is safe on all colors and all fabrics. Hoowever, it is well to test a back panel before shampooing. Some of the poorer quality upholstery will have a cotton black inner lining known as ‘black bucram’. When this inner lining is wet with water, the cheap black dye will come through. Do not judge furniture quality by the price you pay. Black Bucram has been witnessed in some very expensive furniture. Test all furniture before shampooing |

Rug Shampooing
Mix 18 parts water to 1 part “Kot-O-Fom” for normal soil load. For heavy soil load, mix 16 parts water. Shampoo with a regular carpet shampooer and vacuum immediately with a wet vac. For home use, if a wet vac is not available, let rug dry and vacuum. “Kot-O-Fom” will dry to a powder and you simply vacuum the powder. Vacuuming immediately after shampooing with a wet vac is the most effective method, however.
