Davies “KLOUT 3” beer line cleaner is a safe acid cleaner specifically designed to clean plastic beer hoses. “KLOUT 3” dissolves ‘beer stone’, mineral deposits easily. Organic deposits (yeast, hops, etc.) are also loosened and cleaned away. Cleaned lines look like new. Can be used manually or with appropriate circulating pumps.
All beer lines should be cleaned weekly, biweekly or monthly, depending on throughput and type of beer. When beer lines are soiled with deposits, dis-flavoring occurs, and indicates cleaning is necessary. The highest volume users of “KLOUT 3” are the service companies who actually clean beer lines for taverns, etc.
DIRECTIONS
Use 2 - 4 oz. per gallon of water and apply to beer lines. Flush through to remove soil, allow to soak sufficiently (typically 15-20 minutes) for removal. Rinse out completely with water, and test rinse water for pH level. Most water is between 6 – 8 range.
