"No Pit 150"
STEAM LINE TREATMENT FOR LARGE STEAM CONDENSATE SYSTEM
|
DAVIES “NO-PIT 150” is specially designed to protect steam condensate return lines from corrosion. The way “NO-PIT 150” protects boiler systems is by completely neutralizing acids that occur in return lines. These acids actually dissolve metal! High temperatures and pressures in the boiler cause water minerals to form carbon dioxide (CO2) which forms acids in contact with steam condensate. These acids are highly corrosive and cause widespread damage in untreated boiler systems. Properly used, “NO-PIT 150” will neutralize these acids and protect the steam condensate lines, tanks, pumps, etc…
“NO-PIT 150” is a time proven product, and is very effective for small to medium size steam distribution systems. For much larger steam systems or where unusual temperature changes occur, “NO-PIT 150” will more evenly neutralize return line acids.
DIRECTIONS
“NO-PIT 150”is best used with close return line testing; sufficient “NO-PIT 150” should be added to bring the PH of the return line to 7.5 to 8.0. Any pH reading lower than 7.0 is acidic and will be corrosive. Approximately one “1” quart per 1000 gallons of boiler water is the recommended starting treatment. Quantity and frequency (generally weekly) of treatment will be dependent on the return line pH test.
