"Scale Out"
HEAVY DUTY BOILER WATER TREATMENT
DISSOLVES AND LOOSENS SCALE DEPOSITS NON-ACID DESCALER EASY TO USE AND TEST IDEAL FOR SEVERE BOILER AND WATER CONDITIONS USDA AND FDA APPROVED |
Davies “SCALE-OUT” is a heavy boiler compound, used for two purposes: 1) to descale a scale-laden boiler without acid treatment, and shutdown, and 2) to chemically treat a problem boiler system that has severe water conditions or severe workload. Although “NO-SCALE” is a most effective boiler compound, applicable to the majority of boiler applications, there arise unusually severe conditions where “SCALE-OUT” is necessary for daily boiler treatments. “SCALE-OUT” is added to the boiler via normal standard procedures, bypass chemical “pot” feeder or chemical pump. Always add chemicals directly to boiler or to feed water line close to boiler, never to condensate return tank.
“SCALE-OUT” DESCALING PROCEDURES
1) Add sufficient “SCALE-OUT” to maintain a 13 reading on our standard test tape. This will require more treatment than normal.
2) Increase blow down frequency to maintain dissolved solids below 2500 ppm. As the scale is dissolved, it must be removed via blow down.
3) Open boiler after 30-60 days of operation, and thoroughly wash out and remove all loosened scale deposits from between fire tubes and boiler bottom. This washout is absolutely necessary for success, as circulation impairment and scale redeposition could occur otherwise.
